For more than 17 years, Irina specializes in resolving  international commercial disputes, major investment projects in  Uzbekistan, has extensive experience in resolving complex corporate conflicts.

Irina accompanies clients in negotiations when concluding major transactions, disputes between shareholders, develops judicial defense strategies in  foreign courts. Irina has significant experience in the implementation and protection of intellectual property rights. Has work experience in managing positions for more than 10 years. She is fluent in English.

Irina has been the Founding Partner and Managing Director of Legal Aspect since 2018.

Work experience
  • Under the leadership of Irina, Legal Aspect lawyers successfully accompany such large investment projects in Russia and Uzbekistan as:
    • Development of a gas field in Uzbekistan and the construction of a gas-chemical complex on a PSA basis, with a total investment of $ 5.5 billion;
    • Geological exploration at the investment blocks of Sachankul, Akdzhar and Chimbay, and development of Urga deposits, Akchalak and Chandir groups;
    • Programs on hydrocarbon raw material increase for 2017-2021;
    • Construction of a chemical complex for the production of complex mineral fertilizers in the Samarkand region, legal support of a private investor in the purchase of the state block of shares at the “zero” redemption value;
    • Construction and operation of a new terminal of an international airport on the basis of public-private partnership;
    • An increase in the capacity of the Gazli underground natural gas storage (UGS), including additional exploration and development of gas horizons and oil rims of gas fields, with an investment volume of up to $ 1 billion;
    • Construction of a tourist zone, which includes a network of modern hotels, a congress hall, sports, medical, shopping and other recreational facilities;
    • Creation of an agro-industrial cluster of meat and dairy industry with the participation of a foreign investor and an estimated total investment of 130 million Euros.
    • Construction of a large poultry complex for growing broilers and processing full-cycle meat with a production volume of up to 51 thousand tons of meat per year. Volume of investments: more than 100 million USD (Tula Region, RF);
    • Сonstruction of a feed mill for the production of feed with a production capacity of 40 tons per hour. Volume of investments: over 32 million USD (Tula Region, RF).
  • Developing mechanisms for protecting the rights of shareholders, drawing up agreements between investors, as well as between investors and the state.
  • Advising on the implementation and protection of intellectual rights. Irina successfully represented the interests of LLC Azbukovnik in the dispute between the heirs of Sergei Ozhegov to LLC Publishing House Az, LLC Azbukovnik and Academician Natalia Swedovaya. As part of the protection of the rights of copyright holders, a criminal case was initiated against the exchange of µTorrent file sharing.

Irina is also involved teaching and research. She is a lecturer at the Institute for Advanced Studies of Lawyers and Retraining at the RUDN University (http://www.rudn.ru/) since 2017 and a business coach of Moscow Business School (www.mbschool.ru) since 2011.

She is the author of a monograph on “Domain Names: The Concept, Implementation, and Legal Support in Entrepreneurship,” 2012, as well as 12 other publications on a similar topic.

Grigoriy Shchukin

Grigoriy is an expert in subsoil use and corporate law, specializes in the legal support of projects in the field of services for the production of natural resources, as well as on the organization of corporate and legal support of the activities of large international holding companies. Regularly consults on the preparation and implementation of large service contracts, general corporate issues, provides legal interaction with partners in current and perspective projects in the CIS, the Middle East and in other countries. Grigoriy is fluent in English.
