Otabek Mardonov has more than 14 years of experience in oil & gas, energy & construction, international arbitration, complex international commercial litigation, comprehensive project legal support, corporate legal work and employment disputes. He also supports clients in various other sectors, including liaison with Uzbek government authorities and negotiation processes.

Otabek is fluent in English, Russian, Turkish, Tajik and Uzbek languages.

-       Managing the legal work for support of “Methanol-to-olefins Gas Chemical Plant Construction” Project;

-       Managing corporate legal work and liaison with Uzbek government authorities;

-       Representing before domestic and foreign arbitrations, courts and government authorities;

-       Resolving legal disputes; organizing and attending negotiations on dispute resolution;

-       Negotiating settlements;

-       Providing legal advice and advising clients during their business operations;

-       Drafting company policies and a whole variety of corporate documents; conducting legal due diligence;

-       Developing legal/litigation strategies; preparing and reviewing legal documents;

-       Conducting in-depth legal research;

-       Organizing and managing the process of interaction and legal support during inspections under Product Sharing Agreements (PSA) and Uzbek laws;

-       Drafting regulations regarding the implementation of the PSA;

-       Advising on risks and compliance in civil and certain common law jurisdictions;

-       Monitoring changes in Uzbek legislation; preparing proposals and comments on draft regulatory acts;

-       Drafting legal opinions and memoranda on Uzbek regulations;

-       Advising on legal operations related to Industrial gases processing for MTO Gas Chemical Plant in Karakul;

-       Advising on legal operations related to design, supply, construction and commissioning of the Photovoltaic Power Plant in Navoi;

-       Advising on legal operations related to engineering, procurement and construction of the “Booster Compressor Station in Khauzak Site” facility;

-       Advising on construction/drilling of wells at the Kandym group of fields, Gumbulak and Dzharkuduk-Yangi Kizilcha fields;

-       Advising on operations related to EPC of gas condensate fields Adamtash, Gumbulak and Dzharkuduk-Yangi Kizilcha.
